Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture is absolutely breathtaking, not only because of the precision and careful planning of each building that is taken into account, but also that fact that the surrounding of the building are taken into account to make the design even more beautiful than the building itself. In class when we looked at "Falling Water" the first thing I thought of is wow I would love to live there! But as we looked more in to the design of the building i wanted to know more about Frank Lloyd Wright and his unique architectural skills.
So, as I did my research and looked at more and more of his buildings I was completely fascinated. This building pictured above designed by Frank Wright is called the Guggenheim Museum. Wright actually was hesitant about creating this museum in NYC because of the overpopulation of the city, but he wanted the building as close to Central Park as possible with it being the only "natural" area in New York. This building is absolutely beautiful, with the surrounding buildings (pictures in the background) being like the "typical" skyscraper building it really makes the Guggenheim Museum POP and not blend in the the cityscape. I would love to have just a piece of Wrights architectural imagination and be able to design beautiful, original buildings like his...because I truly haven't seen anything like his buildings before.
